Looking for a quick and easy textured reversible stitch pattern? Look no further than the Mistake Stitch Rib.
Why “Mistake Stitch”?
Because when you work a K2, P2 rib on a multiple of 4 stitches plus 3, instead of a multiple of 4, you don’t get ribbing, you get a “mistake”.
But oh, what a lovely mistake it is!
Mistake Stitch Rib
Worked over a multiple of 4 stitches + 3
All rows: *K2, p2; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, p`1.
That’s it! Repeat that one row until you’re finished.
What’s It Good For?
Try it in a scarf—no edgings needed! What about a cozy cowl or pair of mittens? Or make a dozen washcloths to give as gifts.
What “mistakes” are you going to make with your knitting?
