What could be more fun than wearing a crocheted Santa hat this holiday season? This classic crocheted Santa hat pattern is free, and you can watch the tutorial I did for the Michaels Community Classroom.
It’s a quick and easy pattern for all skill levels.
Materials
You’ll need two colors of worsted weight yarn. I used Caron Crystal Cakes, a fuzzy yarn with a touch of sparkle. I used colors Shea Butter and Claret. These colors make a sophisticated and festive hat.
If you want a more traditional Santa look, choose a smooth classic yarn in red and white. You could try Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red and White, or Patons Classic Wool Worsted in Bright Red and Winter White.
To match the pattern gauge, I used a size H [5 mm] hook. The hook size is just a suggestion. As always, you should use the size hook you need to get the correct gauge.
If you crochet the hat, please share your results on social media. Yarnspirations and Michaels and I want to see what you create!
