The Cobble Stitch pattern is a simple and easy-to-memorize combination of single crochet and treble crochet that creates a lovely, nubby texture. The stitch pattern is appropriate for a wide variety of uses, including just about anywhere you might use plain single crochet.

In this washcloth, I used KnitPicks/WeCrochet Dishie worsted weight (#4) yarn in color Colonial Rose. Dishie is 100% cotton, the perfect fiber for a washcloth. It comes in 100 gram balls of 190 yards [174 meters] each.

I used size I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook. Surprisingly (to me), “Colonial Rose” is really more of a deep coral than a pinky rose, Of course, you’ll want to choose colors to fit your decor. Dishie comes in so many colors, you’ll have trouble picking one!

The Cobble Stitch stitch pattern is below, written in American crochet terminology.
