Every Which Way Crochet Borders

As they say “We’re all human, and we all make mistakes.” I’m not sure why human=mistakes. Don’t dogs ever make mistakes? You’d think so. Anyway, despite careful pattern-writing on my part and hopefully careful editing on the part of others, mistakes do make it into patterns. The following corrections are for the mistakes I know about.

If you find one not listed here, please email me and let me know about it, so I can do everything I can to fix the problem! You can find errata for books published by Storey Publishing. The errors listed below are for the first printing of the books. In many cases, these errors have been corrected in subsequent printings, so depending on when you bought your book, the error may not be there at all.

On. p. 174, the chart and text don’t match the photo. The photo is correct. Here is what the text should say:

Rnd 3: Standing sc in sc at tip of first point after any corner, … to corner sc, 4 tr in corner st, place marker in the first of these 4 tr, sc in sc at tip of next point; rep from *…
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st,*[make point, skip (hdc, dc, tr), sc in next sc] to 2 sts before marked st, make point, skip (hdc, dc), sc in next tr, make point, skip next tr, sc in next tr, make point, skip next tr, sc in next sc; rep from * around, omitting last sc, join with slip st to first sc. Fasten off.
Changes to the chart will be forthcoming.

On page 190, the definition for Sc3tog should say, “…pull through all 4 loops on hook.”

Likewise, on page 214 the definition should also say “…pull through all 4 loops on hook.”
