When you purchase a class or do certain transactions via our website, you provide your name, mailing address, email address and Skype handle during the course of the transaction. This information is used to contact you for purposes directly related to the transaction.
Information may be collected by certain third-party partners (including, but not limited to Google Analytics, PayPal, MailChimp, and WooCommerce/Automattic) and by certain affiliate programs (including, but not limited to Rakuten Marketing, Commission Junction, Google AdSense and Amazon Associates). The types of information collected here include things like your IP address, location, pages visited, browser type, and items purchased.
When you purchase a pattern via Ravelry, PayHip or Etsy, those sites provide us your name, email address, and mailing address via PayPal when you pay.
Google Analytics will place a cookie on the site so we can get data about how our site is being used. It is automatically deleted after 26 months.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with
PayPal or WooCommerce/Automattic processes buying certain classes online, so they know who you are, including name and email address, and which item(s) you bought.
We sell patterns via Ravelry, Payhip, LoveCrochet/LoveCrafts, and Etsy. Ravelry, and Bluprint/Craftsy provide us your name, email address, and mailing address via PayPal when you pay. LoveCrochet/LoveCrafts do not provide us with any information about individuals who purchase our patterns and only provide a list of which patterns have been sold and how many copies of each were sold.
UpdraftPlus backs up the website, and therefore may see the information provided in comments.

How long we retain your data
Information submitted through the contact form and customer purchase records are kept indefinitely.
Records in Google Analytics are removed after 26 months.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
